They're permanently 'dead' if they faint, but other healing is still allowed. Some runs bar healing items entirely but that's an additional rule as opposed to one of the original 3.
I see. I´m just playing one by myself, and I use the rule "Healing Items yes, but just the Stuff you found on the Way. No Buying."
And i weakend the Fainteath-Rule a bit. I think so, is it happens on the open Road, the Pokemon are Death. But in Buildings i throw a Coin, and if i´m lucky, the Mon is just heavy Injured, so that it needs some Time to recover. So like it´s Lying in Hospital, with the Machines and all that stuff
Otherwise i would had Lost my starter already in Castelia City, bevor the Gym Battle t.t i´m am bad Trainer...
I hated that Garchomp, always killing my Empoleon and all the children I trained...
I had Pearl AND Diamond, two Piplups. One girl, one guy. Traded one to the other, put them in the daycare next thing you know I have 6 level 77 Empoleons... They had 4 childrens ;-;
But Yeah, Epic Spiritomb is epic ^^ Love it...
And i weakend the Faint
